Job Description:

The Grant Thornton Digital Audit Team provides best in class digital products, services and skills to enable the auditors of the future to set the industry benchmark for professional services firms, leveraging digital, data and technology opportunities to be the number one practice for audit quality, client service and operational excellence.

The Digital Audit Team's product pillar demonstrates the capabilities of both current and emerging technologies to enhance the prestige of auditing as a discipline. Our aim is to procure, research, develop and implement best in class products to enhance audit quality and deliver operational efficiency. We are looking for a scrum facilitator (master) to join our high performing team. As a Scrum master, you will facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within our team, ensuring we can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products and services.  

A look into the role 

We seek an experienced Scrum Facilitator to join our dynamic team. As a Scrum Facilitator, you will collaborate closely with the product development team to ensure that the solutions progress according to schedule, within allocated resources, and meet the desired quality standards.  

  • The team is currently in the process of transforming into Agile ways of working, and you will play a pivotal role in assisting with the adoption of this.  
  • Assess the Agile/Scrum maturity of the team & coach the team to higher levels of maturity. 
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. 
  • Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress. 
  • Support teams in achieving high performance through continuous improvement. 
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and governance stakeholders to ensure smooth workflows. 
  • Track project progress, risks, and dependencies, ensuring transparency and clear reporting. 
  • Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles.

Joining us as a Manager/Senior Manager, the minimum criteria you will need is to be driven and determined to find solutions to audit challenges. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way. 

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Facilitator/Master in an Agile methodology team 
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) 
  • Ability to coach and mentor teams on Agile best practices 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and cloud-based technologies (desirable) 
  • Certified Scrum Facilitator/Master (CSM, PSM) or equivalent Agile certifications (desirable)
