Supporting you at every step

For every career level within the firm, there is a “Stepping up” series, which aims to support individuals and prepare them for then next stage of their career. In addition we have a People Manager series of learning workshops, targeting both inexperienced and experienced people managers, to equip them with the tools needed to get the absolute best out of their teams, whilst managing agile and hybrid teams, and ensuring wellbeing is optimal.

Supporting our ethnic minority colleagues

We have two initiatives to support the progression of our ethnically diverse colleagues into senior positions. Pathway to Empowerment is a 9 month development programme with content guided by ethnicity specialists to ensure relevance. It focuses on empowering individuals to own and present their values, unlocking their potential. Amplify is a sponsorship programme pairing partners and directors with ethnic minority managers and senior managers/associate directors, to serve as their caeer advocates and mentors. 

Coaching and mentoring

Our vision is that everyone in our business has access to coaching and mentoring, whether from a people manager, colleague or a qualified coach.  Listening and asking questions is simply our way of being – with each other and our clients.

We have formal and informal coaching and mentoring partnerships within the firm, and anyone can request a mentor or coach at any stage of their career. Some of our structured mentor programmes include our New Parent Mentoring Scheme, providing support for new  parents returning to work. We also provide support for those returning to the workplace after a career break, whatever you circumstances we will try to pair you with a colleague who can provide the support you need.

Elevate and breakthrough 

We have two development programmes supporting women, nonbinary and gender noncofirming colleagues at senior manager grade upwards, as we know this is where the representation within the firm begins to slip. Elevate and Breakthrough  re designed to support and coach our female talent, preparing them for progression to the next level. All members of these programmes receive personal coaches and attend a number of targeted seminars to support their development.

The programmes provide a safe space for open dialogue and experimentation, and the opportunity to form lifelong connections with a close-knit group of peers as well as access to Partners who will actively sponsor and advocate for the development of our people.
