March 2022

Alongside our network firms at Grant Thornton International, we are shocked and saddened by the horrific events in Ukraine.

We are actively monitoring and reviewing our client engagements to ensure compliance with sanctions and taking the appropriate action, including declining new relationships or ceasing existing relationships.

All prospective new clients with any connection to Russia or Belarus will be carefully considered. We will not provide services to clients that are subject to sanctions, connected to the Russian government, the Belarusian government or those who support their activities. We can confirm that we are not providing services to the Russian or Belarusian governments. Existing clients with Russian or Belarusian connections have also been re-assessed and will continue to be monitored, and appropriate action taken to ensure we continue only to provide services to clients who are aligned with our values.

Given the highly complex situation, the Global Leadership Team at Grant Thornton International has agreed to the resignation of its Russian member firm (FBK) from the network, with immediate effect.

Grant Thornton UK and the international network will continue to evaluate what further actions are needed as the situation evolves.
