I have over 20 years’ experience of advising public and private sector bodies on major infrastructure schemes across a range of sectors including light rail, heavy rail, bus, aviation, integrated transport and energy.
I have an excellent understanding of the structure of the rail industry having advised the governments across the UK, on both structuring and the commercial drivers facing the UK rail industry. This included leading on the negotiation for the devolution arrangements for rail in Wales and the devolution of rail powers to Scotland. My experience with major transport infrastructure schemes such as HS2, on the financial and commercial issues associated with the next phase of high-speed rail projects in the UK and Transport for Greater Manchester, on its suite of business cases in support of its application for infrastructure funding from the Department for Transport.
I am experienced in providing commercial and financial advice across a number of areas including the structuring of enhancement projects, economic regulation, public sector procurement, risk management, business case development, financial modelling and project optimisation. I have worked both in the UK and overseas and have extensive experience of acquisitions and disposals across a number of different industry sectors, together with advising on public sector funding applications, procurement, affordability and value for money analyses.
Outside of work, I enjoy cycling and socialising. I enjoy spending time with my family and like to get away at weekends to visit new places.
