I am a qualified accountant and chartered tax adviser and have worked in professional services for 12 years.
My role includes providing tax advice to clients – ranging from small owner-managed businesses to large corporates, and blue-chip organisations across a variety of sectors – interpreting complex technical issues to create practical, pragmatic solutions.
Although an accountant by training, my background and passion is in sociology and I have always been motivated by working on people-related issues.
I enjoy mentoring and often speak externally on people-related topics, advising employers on how to attract and retain talent.
As part of our people advisory team I am able to use my employment tax experience to understand the challenges that employers face in respect of their people due to continually evolving legislation.
I am passionate about supporting clients to manage the impact of this and develop opportunities from the changes that are imposed on them, rather than see them as a burden.
Within my team we are currently supporting clients with innovative solutions and approaches around employment status, Apprenticeship Levy, diversity and inclusion, and employee reward.
I have returned to my home city of Norwich with my husband and two young children, and we love spending time by the coast as a family. When I am not working or being mum, I enjoy running and playing hockey, combining my passions for keeping fit and socialising.
