I joined the firm in 2024, working on transport and infrastructure programmes, and local transport in particular. I support clients with strategy, business case development, funding and financing, programme management and operational efficiencies. My two areas of sector specialism are: mass transit scheme development and the local bus industry – having been a managing director of multiple bus and coach companies prior to becoming a trusted advisor to local authorities and operators.
I’ve been afforded great opportunities to gain deep insights into the challenges and opportunities in the public sector. This includes being seconded into a public sector organisation for over a year as the senior responsible owner (SRO) of a major programme with significant financial and political risks. I’ve also been MD of operating companies, seconded into multiple public sector bodies and I actively sit as vice-chair of a public advisory board. This broad range of experiences and expertise is very useful when it comes to understanding my client’s challenges and providing pragmatic solutions.
I’m also being drawn more into the private sector with large fleet operators trying to decarbonise their fleets – something I have personal experience of striving for.
When not working, looking after my three young children or tackling the ever-growing to-do list at home, I'm a keen cyclist and enjoy ultra distance and multi-day riding. I also enjoy sitting behind a piano most evenings, although I’m more of an enthusiastic than a skilled player.
