I have over 19 years’ experience in advising multinational enterprises as they expand and operate cross-border. This has included large listed enterprises (outbound and inbound), as well as private equity and privately owned businesses.
My career has taken me to London and Singapore, the latter being a three year role focused on assisting Asia-Pacific multinationals as they invest into the UK, Europe and the US.
I am now based in Leeds as part of our North tax team, which is focused on helping multi-nationals with connections to the region achieve their international goals.
I enjoy and value helping businesses avoid surprises across their international footprint, whether that is in connection with cross-border financing, intellectual property strategies, expansions of trade into new territories or M&A structuring. My aim is to ensure that tax is not something that prevents businesses from achieving the returns on investment they desire, and that risk and controversy is managed as far as possible.
I have a young family which takes up a lot of my free time when I am not thinking about my clients’ issues. If I do get some time to myself, I have recently rediscovered my love for reading actual books, and I also enjoy exercising such as boxing and jogging. Cricket and rugby are passions of mine, more watching than playing these days.
