Eddie Best

I specialise in providing internal audit, controls advisory and contract audit services to international listed groups, with 30 years of experience across sectors including food & beverage, retail and FMCG. ​ Being a Chartered Accountant and Affiliate of the Institute of Internal Auditors, I have worked with numerous international groups.

I have over 25 years' experience of providing risk, internal audit and advisory services to FTSE 100, FTSE250 and equivalent privately held businesses. I support clients in their management of risk and realisation of opportunities as they grow and develop.

My experience spans a range of sectors: retail, technology, manufacturing and engineering and business support services. My client work involves supporting businesses through the co-ordination of integrated services, across both international boundaries and technical specialisms. Examples include: 

• global relationship partner for a FTSE 30 retail client, leading our relationship across several service lines and 10 countries
• global relationship partner for a FTSE 20 mining and metals client, leading our relationship across several service lines and 32 countries
• leading global risk, internal audit and advisory services to a portfolio of FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and private equity clients
• contract risk and advisory services to a number of clients in the retail, FMCG, extraction and support service sectors
• external quality effectiveness reviews for FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 risk and internal audit functions. 

I have sat on our elected partnership oversight board and was the global co-leader of Business Risk Services practice for 6 years until 2020. ​​ 

Outside of work I enjoy travelling and spending time with my family and friends.
