I lead on Digital, Data and Insight for Public Services Advisory, supporting the NHS, local authorities and central government to get the best from their data. I am a nationally recognised expert in healthcare data quality and analytics. I oversee our public sector insight studio, lead the development of our software and tools, and work directly with clients to help them establish reliable evidence bases to drive their strategic and operational decision making. I also support the public sector to use digital tools to improve care and productivity.
I have led on many high-profile reviews across the NHS, including mediating between organisations at an executive level to close a £50 million gap in contract expectations to national timescales. I have supported trusts in financial special measures to ensure that the funding received accurately reflects the care delivered. I managed the delivery of a programme of national costing audits, the findings from which informed numerous improvements to national guidance and processes. I have authored national reports on data quality and have supported the NHS to increase the accuracy and governance over health data. The methodologies I have developed have supported the improvement and data and its use across multiple organisations.
In my spare time I play the drums to an adequate level in an unprofessional but surprisingly successful classic rock covers band.
