I am a nationally recognised expert in healthcare data quality, funding models and contract management. I am responsible for the operational delivery of our contracting and coding assurance services across healthcare organisations, which sees me work with Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), acute providers, mental health providers, national regulators and the private sector to provide independent assurance and advice on funding and payment.
I have led on many high-profile reviews at both NHS Trusts and CCGs, including mediating between organisations at an executive level to close a £50 million gap in contract expectations to national timescales. I have led reviews at trusts in financial special measures to ensure that the funding received accurately reflects the care delivered. I managed the delivery of a programme of national costing audits, the findings from which informed numerous improvements to national guidance and processes. The methodologies I have developed have addressed areas of dispute between commissioner and providers at multiple health economies across the country.
In my spare time I play the drums to an adequate level in an unprofessional but surprisingly successful classic rock covers band.
