With more than 25 years' experience working in indirect tax, including five years working as a VAT inspector for the UK tax authorities, and the remainder in practice, I enjoy advising businesses on all matters around UK and international indirect tax.
My work involves providing consulting and advisory services on the more complicated commercial aspects of large and complex businesses. I work across all sectors with extensive experience in the technology and telecoms, pharmaceutical & life sciences, manufacturing and retail sectors on topical issues eg global technical and legislative changes, suplly chain, e-commerce, digital media sectors and SAO compliance.
I am delighted to be the chair of Grant Thornton International's EMEA indirect tax committee. This role enables to me work with member firms across the world, share knowledge and best practice, as well as train and mentor our people. I also sit on various committees and consultation groups with the UK Government HMRC and HM Treasury.
When I am not advising clients, I enjoy walking with my dog, Dudley
