My career in forensic accounting started in 2011, which is also when I joined the firm. I am an associate director in our forensic and investigation services, where I assist my clients in commercial disputes and forensic investigations. I have been fortunate to advise clients from energy, automotive, manufacturing and telecommunications sectors, among others. The increasingly complex nature of forensic assignments means I never stop learning and working at a multidisciplinary firm ensures I can always learn from the best.
I have extensive experience in litigation and international arbitration disputes, where I support clients in the assessment of quantum of damages. My largest dispute to date involved a $US6+ billion investment treaty claim against an Eastern European government. Due to my involvement in numerous expert determinations resulting from post-transactional disputes, I also support our firm’s Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) advisory practice in reviewing the key terms of sale and purchase agreements, thus helping my clients mitigate the risk of future disputes. Over the years I have worked on a number of high-profile investigations, some of which have received national media coverage. What I love about my job is the interaction with other people, which is why leading investigative interviews is my favourite element of forensic investigations.
I have lived in the UK since 2002, however, I am a native Polish speaker which has enabled me to gain some invaluable experience working for clients in Poland and other Eastern European countries. After working for a telecom client in Kazakhstan, I decided to learn Russian!
After hours (in addition to learning Russian), I enjoy honing my photography skills during endless countryside walks (or camping trips) with my family. I am a passionate gym goer – I am currently working towards a 100kg deadlift!
