I lead the firm’s international tax practice. I have over 12 years of experience helping clients navigate the challenges of cross border taxation.

In international tax we help large and growing businesses understand the risks and opportunities of their cross-border activity. That might be in an overseas expansion, M&A activity, supply chain alterations, new financing or new products. Transactions crossing borders will necessarily involve international tax considerations.

I work with both inbound and outbound groups, with a particular focus on US HQ multinationals. I spend around a quarter of my time physically in the US as part of that role.

My average day is a mixture of grappling over technical points with my head in the tax law, explaining UK tax rules to my clients or other overseas Grant Thornton firms that I am working with, and working with my team on our current projects.

I love both the intellectual challenge and the practical application of my role. It involves solving complex problems and explaining the solutions in a simple and understandable way. It’s a real mix of hardcore brain power and people skills.

I'm also the Partner Convener for the LGBTQIA+ diversity strand at the firm. I'm passionate about ensuring our firm is a safe, inclusive and vibrant place to work for queer people.

When I’m not working, I spend as much time as I can with my husband and daughter. We enjoy trips to the theatre and travelling the world – I’m on 60 countries and counting!
