With over 20 years’ experience of working in and with the public sector I have developed a deep knowledge, understanding and appreciation for the public sector, working with a range of clients in both local government and the NHS. I enjoy engaging across both sectors including attending and presenting at events such as SOLACE, HFMA, Society of Municipal Treasurers, Society of County Treasurers and Society of District Council Treasurers as well as with other stakeholders.
I lead our Public Sector Audit teams across the North with teams based in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Carlisle and enjoy the challenges of different regions and geographies in working with our clients. Internally I attend our Audit Quality Board where I share insights from local teams and lead on operations for our public sector audit team enabling me to create links for our team across other audit teams and the wider firm to collectively drive better performance for us all particularly in the areas of people, finance and resourcing.
What I really love about my role is the variety of working with different clients to understand their specific needs and aspirations and working on sector wide developments.
Outside of work my family life keeps me busy including voluntary roles such as a trustee of a charity and have been a recent convert to regular exercise.
