I am qualified as both a barrister and a solicitor, I have over 30 years of tax advisory experience acquired in both the private and public sectors.
I was previously based at Clifford Chance, a partner at Rowe & Maw and a tax partner at a leading accountancy firm for over 10 years. I have advised the government and the treasury as a lawyer at HMRC’s Solicitor’s Offices, before joining the firm in 2015.
I specialise in providing stamp taxes advice on transactional and contentious matters, particularly in the real estate and financial services sectors, where my role brings value to clients by reducing uncertainty around tax. I aim to combine my legal and technical tax skills with over 30 years’ experience and an ethical awareness to help my clients to achieve their commercial objectives. My experience has allowed me to develop a thorough understanding of HMRC legislation to ensure that my interpretation of how the law applies to my clients’ activities is correct.
Outside work I am a keen street photographer and enjoy walking and mountain biking.
