We are delighted to have advised Kind & Co on their EOT buyout.

The company provides principal construction services to the residential, commercial, care, education and health markets serving London and South East England.

The shareholders of Kind & Co engaged our corporate finance, tax and valuation teams on the company-funded EOT transaction.

Our role on the transaction was lead advisor, seamlessly supporting the transaction end-to-end from the valuation and modelling up to drafting support on the legal documentation.

We utilised our experience in EOTs and structured a buyout to preserve the legacy of Kind & Co and reward loyalty within the employee base.

Our unique EOT offering and in-depth expertise allowed the shareholders to partially crystalise their investment to date and allow employees to share in the future prosperity and profits generated by the company during a next phase of growth.

Navigating through an increasingly complex process and maintaining momentum during lockdown offered its own unique challenges and we are pleased to have concluded a transaction within the agreed timescales.

Testimonial
From the outset I was confident in the teams EOT experience and expertise within the construction industry, culminating in a highly satisfactory conclusion. The team showed exceptional commitment throughout, despite a challenging socio-economic backdrop, and were able to deliver an employee buyout within a short timeframe, providing a truly end-to-end service. I have no hesitation in recommending Grant Thornton’s team.
