AUB Group is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) and this transaction represents their third major direct acquisition in the UK and is a continuation of its strategy to build its presence in the UK retail broking market. AUB also operates a large number of leading retail broking businesses, AR networks, and insurance technology platforms across Australia and New Zealand.
Given the nature of the Group, we focussed on a select number of trade and private equity parties who we felt were best placed to build upon the success and rapid growth of the Movo model, offer a strong cultural and strategic fit for all three businesses and ultimately deliver a strategic premium
Using our in-depth sector experience and knowledge, we selected the most appropriate potential buyers and ran a tight and highly competitive process before selecting AUB as the preferred bidder. We led and managed the due diligence process through to completion alongside leading negotiations and process management throughout the deal process
