Helping a local authority become more data-led

The challenge
With the launch of its new corporate strategy our local authority client aimed to deliver more resident-focused services, using data and insight to improve outcomes and efficiency.
The solution
Our discovery exercise engaged stakeholders across the council to assess the level of digital capability and the appetite to engage with the data-driven innovation agenda.
The results
We co-developed a roadmap to improve data usage, make better use of existing assets, embed greater levels of insight and analytics capability supporting a digital-first mindset.

Leaner, faster and better processes and reporting

The challenge
A UK regulator’s forecasting and reporting process made achievement of their funding objectives difficult, leading to inefficient use of resources and frustration from Government.
The solution
We simplified and automated processes and reporting tasks. This improved data quality, reduced rework and manual intervention, and eliminated a key person risk.
The results
The solution now supports the budget-setting process with Government. Through simplification and automation, it has reduced the monthly reporting cycle by 22 work days.

Digital programme assurance for the police

The challenge
Supporting a police collaboration over the life of a multi-year programme to implement MS Dynamics 365 ERP software, with integrated duty management, on the MS Azure platform.
The solution
We structured phased independent assurance to provide ongoing assurance over the life cycle of the programme, as well as independent assessment at key gateways and decision points.
The results
Providing independent expertise and challenge, identification of good practice and clear accessible insight helped support stakeholders’ understanding and decision making.
