DEBT ADVISORY

Debt financing solution for a large public African miner

One of the world's most recognisable luxury brands, owned by an AIM quoted plc, a world leading miner of precious minerals from mines in Zambia and Mozambique. With over 30 boutiques and outlets around the world, the Brand had grown and evolved to become a leader in watchmaking and luxury jewellery.

To drive the brand's continued growth, the company required new funding for working capital and to refinance existing debt facilities. We worked with the client to prepare the credit proposition and structure the funding request to lenders.

We used our in depth knowledge of the lender market place and our relationships with specialist funders in the mining and luxury goods market to introduce the right lender to the company. We created competitive tension through a tightly managed auction process, negotiated and led the deal to its successful completion.

Our understanding of the particular needs of the mining market, combined with the nuances and technical aspects of a large public company were key to the success of this transaction. We were able to quickly steer the client in the right direction and our tenacity to get the right deal done resulted in a great outcome for the client.
