I am a partner in the North West audit department, and I enjoy working with our varied client base across the region. I adopt a hands-on approach and attempt to add value to my clients through sharing the experience I have gained working with listed and private businesses in my career. I also have significant experience auditing private equity backed companies and supporting them through their investment cycle.
I pride myself on being commercial, robust and constructive in my dealings with businesses and act as a sounding board to my clients. I am also very fortunate to work with excellent teams and enjoy the relationships I have with other service lines within Grant Thornton.
My client portfolio is cross sector, but I have significant experience in retail, manufacturing and distribution. I particularly enjoy working with businesses aiming to expand and create shareholder value through acquisition strategies and/or preparing for an exit event. I have had extensive involvement with clients operating internationally reporting under both IFRS and FRS 102.
Outside of work I enjoy walking trips with friends, cooking and spending time with my young daughter at the local cricket club. I am also the Audit Committee Chair and Board member at Runshaw College which has provided me with relevant experience of ‘being on the other side of the table’ when compared to my typical day to day schedule.
