I am a partner in our forensic and investigation services team, specialising in contentious valuations for litigation and arbitration. Before specialising in forensic work, I spent 15 years in equity research and equity capital markets at several investment banks in London where I advised many of the world’s largest investors on investments in companies ranging in value from less than £10 million to more than £50 billion.
I have 25 years of experience in the valuation of companies and shares across many different industries with particular strength in the global energy and natural resources sector.
I have a degree in economics from Cambridge University and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001 at one of the Big Four firms. I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of its Valuation and Expert Witness Communities
Highlights of my litigation and arbitration experience include:
- Expert for the respondent in an LCIA Arbitration in a high-value claim concerning alleged breaches of obligations under exploration and development licenses in the oil and gas industry.
- Expert for the claimant in the English High Court in a claim concerning losses suffered by an air transportation company as a result of the alleged wrongful repossession of an aircraft
- Expert for the respondent in the English High Court in a claim for unfair prejudice concerning the valuation of the plaintiffs' minority shareholdings in a technology start-up company
- Expert for the defendant in the Royal Court of the Island of Jersey in a claim for unfair prejudice concerning the valuation of the plaintiffs' minority shareholdings in a financial technology company
- Expert for the defendant in the High Court of the Republic of Singapore concerning the valuation of a business and intellectual property in the healthcare/beauty industry
I play football every week and enjoy the occasional session of boxing training.
